Poorly constructed
The ribs of the umbrella are pieced together probably with glue. I have only had it for several months and one of the eight ribs has completely separated and several others are ready to split apart. I wonder why such a critical piece would be expected to stand up in FL weather if its glued together. Very disappointed.

Disappointment
I purchased two of these umbrellas. Placed them in heavy cast iron stands. The smallest breeze took one of them over and snapped one of the upper ribs in half. A few weeks later, second one bit the dust. Same cause. What a disappointment. Only a few months old.

Pleasantly surprised
I am always a bit apprehensive when I purchase something over the internet. So when I opened my umbrella, I was happy that it was more than I expected. It looks great and was within the budget (with a little help from a 20% off coupon--thank you very much).
