Beautiful household mat- not for use inside tub Highly recommended!! Contrary to the other reviewers' reports, this product is NOT supposed to be used inside a bathtub! Nowhere on the packaging does it imply you should use it inside a bathtub and get it soaking wet. Instead, it is supposed to be used as a floor mat that you step onto as you exit the bathtub. It is made out of wood, so it obviously cannot withstand getting wet on a daily basis. I believe this explains all the reviews about it falling apart after several uses. I find that the mat functions extremely well for its intended purpose. I have used it in my bathroom for over a year without any problems. In fact, I'd like to get a second one to use in my kitchen since the mats are so attractive. November 10, 2012
Nice looking My mat lost about 10 (of about 150) of it's dime sized rubber pads from the bottom the first time I picked it up after using. It still works fine. My shower has little to no circulation, so it grows mildew very quickly. Picking up this mat after about 4 days of use (4 showers total) there was mildew the size of the mat underneath. I don't feel it's the mat's fault. I have just learned to pick it up after each use, or not use it at all. April 26, 2012
Could be better Bought this mat as I liked the idea of a bamboo mat for in the bath. This is a bit too wide for a standard tub but it's doable. It doesn't hold to the tub as well as I'd like; there are no suction cups but rather little black pads on the bottom, non slip I assume but the mat still moves. Have only had this mat for a short time but I can see the potential for the strings (holding the wood pieces together) to break. February 2, 2012
Does not hold up very well This mat feels and looks good, but that's about it. After two weeks of normal use it started to fall apart. The strings that hold the bamboo beads started to come unraveled and then the beads started coming off. The little black undersides of the mat started falling off as well. It was a total waste of money. July 24, 2011
