Perfect hot chocolate
I have been using this little machine for five years now. It still works great and makes a perfect cup of hot chocolate every time. It is amazingly easy to use and just as easy to clean. The top and base come apart for easy storage. Once you find the right cocoa mix you'll never bother with buying hot chocolate from any other place. My entire family is full of chocoholics and they all refuse to drink hot chocolate from anywhere else but home :). Once this one wears out I will definitely purchase a replacement.

I got this for Birthday last October. I loved the latte I made in it.. It does not last long was too expensive to die 4 1/2 months.. Wish I could replace it but my husband thought it was working good a week prior to it breaking and threw the box away.. I would not recommend this to anyone unless they come out with a better product.. they break too easy!!!

Disappointing
I had high hopes for the Bialetti Hot Chocolate Maker, as the brand is a very old and respected Italian company, (their stove top makers have been around for years) and their customer service was easy and pleasant enough. My first issue is that the knob to set the time was difficult to use. If you have any kind of hand or joint issues, it's not going to work easily for you. The cleaning is inconvenient but it made delicious chocolate and beautiful froth. Sadly it lasted one year to the day I bought it. It was "one owner, and used only on weekends" ;-) but it died. I hope Bialetti does a massive redesign as there really isn't anything good on the market.

Frustrating!
I purchased this a few years ago, and unless they have made some major improvements, it is not a quality product. It was finicky from the start- the frother would only spin on and off. I would have to take the pot of and on the stand and jiggle the base around to get going and make a mess with all the hot chocolate. The pot itself seemed flimsy and was hard to clean. I bought this for a fun family gift, planning to make large batches of hot cocoa for the kids, their friends, etc... Well, forget that, as if you put more than two or three 6 oz servings in it, the frother causes it to slosh all the way up and over the sides and leak out of the pot, leaving a hot, sticky mess to clean up and wasting the hot chocolate. The frother finally stopped spinning so out in the trash it went- $99 wasted! I will try the Back to Basics Model for 1/3 the price which got good reviews. Anything has to be better!
