Handy yet not especially powerful
I needed a small, lightweight stick vacuum cleaner for a bedroom with a somewhat thick carpet. I purchased the Bissell featherweight. It is lightweight, easy to store in a discreet corner of the room, and handy. BUT it is limited in its capacity to clean the carpet -- I have to back and forth over a spot multiple tiomes as the suction is not as strong as is desired.

Terrible product
Suction is fine for a stick, but from a ease of use perspective it's terrible. I had a eureka upright vacuum, same price point and it was 10 times better than this. This "vacuum" has just a small hole cut in the center of the floor attachment, instead of the full area being used for suction, and it has no brush roll for carpets. On top of that emptying the contents is incredibly difficult. Instead of attaching the filer to the bottom portion of the container and making it removable, it is attached to the top half of the container, so when you open to empty, you need to be right over a garbage because all the dirt and dust is attached to the top piece and will fall out immediately as you open. I always need to vacuum the area where I'm emptying the vacuum.

It is light weight and so easy to use. I am getting everyone on my Christmas list one of these.

One of the best Bissell products
I have used this product for years and love it! I have cats and it does a great job getting all the hair, dust, cat litter and other particles on our uncarpeted floors. It's easy to clean and dump the collected dirt and is carryable up and down stairs (although I have one for each floor). You get much bang for your dollar with this recommended purchase.
