Love this coffemaker!
My husband got me this coffeemaker as a surprise gift for Christmas & I love it! It makes great coffee & we use the hot water feature every night for either Chai Tea or Mocha Cappuchino. I have never experienced any bad taste or smell from the water as others have stated! I am getting our daughter this coffee maker for her birthday as she loves it too!

Not so good
I am heading to BB&B to return this item. We bought it because my husband drinks coffee and I drink tea. According to my husband, the coffee does taste good however, it is very hard to put the water in the back of the unit without spillage. You have to measure the water by using the glass coffee pot. The unit for hot water is such a wonderful idea however it makes the water taste like plastic. It smells like plastic while brewing. I have rinsed with vinegar but unfortunately it did not work. :(

Coffee is great, water has funky smell
We received this from our wedding registry and it is fine. The coffee turns out great, no complaints there. We've never been able to get the water unit to work correctly, however. The hot water always turns out smelling like plastic. Rinsing multiple times with a vinegar/water solution has cut down on the smell a bit, but it always seems to return. We've finally given up on the water unit and have returned to heating our water in a tea kettle.
