Beware Mikasa's blatant permanent advertising!
These candleholders look lovely and the price is excellent, so I purchased them as a wedding gift for the daughter of a friend. What you cannot see in the website picture, however, is that the word MIKASA is permanently etched into the base of both candleholders and it is VERY evident when they are placed on the table. I am so disappointed and I will definitely not be giving these to the bride -- I cannot imagine that she would want dinner guests to see the manufacturer's name as part of her tablescape!

wouldnot recommend
Its actually very light weight, and maybe that contributed to it being broken when it arrived. It does look somewhat elegant but dont think it will stand the test of time
