Stopped working!
I bought this primarily for protein shakes. If I add fruit to them I usually add bananas. I haven't even had it a year and it stopped working! The blades will not turn even though the blender is running! I am very disappointed with this blender. I usually buy Kitchenaid appliances but I thought I would try Cuisinart this time. BIG disappointment!

We have had this blender for a year and a half. Two days ago it started smoking from the bottom up and into the glass. Sure it is under warranty up to 3 years but you must write out a check for $10 and shipping is another $27. In this case it is not worth the hassle of sending it in. The worst part is the blender was seldom used maybe twice a month on average. We do own other products like the food processor and love it!!

LOVE IT!
I received this blender for my bridal shower and it works great. I've made many fruit smoothies and everything gets blended very well. A good blender can be difficult to find...I'd definitely recommend this one to anyone!

Cuisinart® SmartPower® Deluxe™ Blender
We own many Cuisinart appliances, the toaster, the coffee maker and of course, the superb food processor. So naturally we thought the blender would be a no-brainer. Wrong. The quality is fine, the design is not. The bottom of the bowl is too wide for foods to get to the blades. There is a well in the bowl beneath the blades in which small foods, such as blueberries, accumulate so that they never even get to the blades, And lastly, if the blender is started on the high setting there is a possibility that the bowl might start to rotate. Now I know i'm the only person to give this blender a bad revue, but I know product design and this one fails.
