Just line up the preforated edge with the arm and tear away one handed! Works great, just heavy enough to tear single handed. So glad we bought it!

One handed wonder
The paper towel fits on easily without having to line up or unscrew something. You can tear off a towel with just one hand. You don't have to hold onto the holder while you tear with the other hand. Very stylish and cocnvenient.

The pole of the paper holder was bent sideways when I received it; it appears that the pole was not attached firmly. Returned it at a store and bought another style.
