Pineapple Slicer and Wedger

Hello. My name is Todd from Bed Bath & Beyond and I'm here to tell you about the Pineapple Slicer and Wedger. This great utensil lets you quickly and easily core a pineapple while cutting perfect rings or wedges. It works like a cork screw with an easy release grip. The wedger cuts the rings into equal sections. It is top shelf dishwasher safe so the cleanup is easy. My two sons love pineapple, but cutting it up wasn't simple until I discovered this slicer. Now I have fresh pineapple for them in minutes and they love watching me use it. Let me show you how it's done. First, cut off the top. Make sure you take off enough so that the slicer sits on a flat surface. Here's a tip. Use the top to decorate your serving platter. Then, center the slicer on the top. Apply a little pressure to the gripper clockwise like a cork screw until you're at the bottom of the pineapple. You'll know you're at the bottom when you feel the slicer stop cutting the pineapple and it moves freely. Then, using the grip, pull out the core and the sliced pineapple. Save the shell. Use it for serving the pineapple or fruit salad. If you want perfect rings, simply release the gripper, slide off the rings and slice. Here's how. Release the gripper, release the wedger and slice. I prepared a pineapple earlier to show you how to make perfect wedges. All you do is simply push the wedger down through the rings nice and slow to make perfect wedges.
