Unstable
The base arrived dented despite the packing and lack of damage to shipping box. It wasn't worth repacking for a replacement because I have it in a vacation home/rental 300 miles away. The lamp is unstable and not recommended for families with small children who may grasp it for support. It's especially unstable on carpet. I give 3 stars because I actually like the lamp. Assembly is simple. Light produced is bright and diffused nicely with the shade. The side table supports only 2 pounds. I lean it against the wall and a bunk bed for support.
