Love this machine
I have not experienced any of the problems that all the previous reviews indicate. I have no trouble making an espresso in less than a minute and it only takes about 20 seconds for the machine to come back up to temperature to froth the milk. There are only two changes I would make. For some reason, the espresso is not very hot and I would make the coffee basket larger. I like a large espresso/cappuccino and larger basket would make that easier. Otherwise I love this machine!

Disappointed
This is the second cappucino/ coffee machine I bought! I thought because this one is more expensive then it is better! But, unfortunatly, everytime I make an espresso for my cappucino it tastes like water, it has no aroma and no taste to it! I will return this machine as soon as possible and get one that I had before!

bad basket design, no pressure
My 3rd espresso machine, they somehow took a basket design that has worked for 100 years and fouled it up. If you know anything about fluid behavior or hydraulics, take apart the basket, you will need a small Phillips, the design if fascinatingly bad. If you love watery espressos that take 10 minutes to make you will love this machine. I could not believe how poorly this machine worked, return policy was good though. Bought the Brevelle and love it.

milk expresso sequence
I lived in Italy for several years (not as a student), and in both the homes of native Italians and in the few times I had cappuccino in cafes, I ever, ever, ever saw anyone heat the milk first and then make the espresso. It was ALWAYS espresso first, milk heating/frothing second. In fact, this was the sequence written in the directions of the LaPavoni expresso/cappuccino machhine I brought back with me. So it seems to me that, following that sequence, one should have less trouble with the Krups machine discussed here - and I'm on this site because my own machine gave out after 21 years of service.
My rating means nothing - I was forced to make one because there is no provision for making observations by themselves.
