Disappointed
These dipping bowls do NOT match the Italian Countryside pattern. They are a different weight/thickness and the band around the top is different. I would NOT have purchased these if I had seen them in person. The picture does show them accurately, so study it carefully.
On the plus side, they are a great size. Perfect for a small dish of ice cream, yogurt, or other small snack. (Too big for personal servings of dips!)

Not so nice
I was disappointed to find that these bowls were not up to the standard of my dinnerware. The glaze did not cover the botton of these dipping bowls completely. The "ring" that sits on the table is left unglazed. They also do not feel to be of the same weight/density ceramic of my dinnerware. I was anticipating the same quality and unfortunately these just don't live up to what I was expecting.

Not the same Manufacturer.
This is not the same manufacturer as the rest of my set and it suffers in the translation. The quality is not as good and the pattern is slightly off, as well as not having all the features of the original set...not oven to table as well as microwave and dishwasher safe. It has a cheaper feel to it. It is even off color.

pretty petite bowls
The stated purpose is for dipping, but I wanted to use the bowls to serve ice cream, pudding, or another mini dessert. I am pleased that I can use them for my purposes. The bowls are decorative and will make a nice companion to my other Italian Countryside dinnerware. Since we are downsizing our meals, I think the size of the bowls clearly make that statement.
