Everything about this is dreadful If this was a movie this would be funny. The first machine stopped working one day after about 3 months, and after many weeks de Longhi sent a new one. This lasted 3 days and the same thing happened. Both times the coffee side stopped, and on the second machine the boiler tank cap did not fit, and did not work anyway when I substituted it for the old one. Eventually when I requested a refund, De Longhi said they would send me an upgraded machine worth a lot more. Greed got the better of me and I agreed, and waited another 6 weeks for it to arrive. When the box did come, it was the same machine as before!!! When contacted, they admitted their mistake, and said they would send me the proper agreed machine. That was 4 weeks ago, and I am currently wrestling with customer service who keep fobbing me off with 'check back next week' if you haven't received it. Arrgghhh!!! They will not divulge the NJ warehouse details so I can check shipping status, and will not give me any tracking number. Not so much customer service as customer disservice. I have wasted many hours of my time with this runaround, and I am absolutely fed up to my back teeth. How this company can stay in business defeats any logic. The product is execrable, and service plain awful. If I could give this less than zero stars I would, and if any tinkerers out there want to try and piece one working unit together, I now have several in my garage! PLEASE DO NOT SUBJECT YOURSELVES TO THE SAME MISERY I HAVE HAD, AND AM STILL EXPERIENCING! BUY ANY OTHER PRODUCT BUT SOMETHING MADE BY DE LONGHI!!! April 25, 2013

DO NOT BUY THIS COFFEE MAKER. THE REVIEW BY "CAFFINEQUEEN" IN PHILLY IS SPOT ON. EVERYTHING SHE REPORTED IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE TRUE SENCE OF THE WORD. THEY SIMPLY RECOMMENDED I TAKE IT TO A SERVICE LOCATION. THE EXACT SAME FLAWS EXIST WITH MY COFFEE MAKER. WATER LEAKING FROM THE BOTTOM AND THE COFFEE SIDE STOPPED WORKING AT 11 MONTHS. CLEARLY THEY HAVE A FLAW WITH THIS MODEL AND ARE TRYING TO IGNORE IT. BAD COMPANY. BAD AND NO SERVICE AT ALL. IT TOOK THEM A WEEK JUST TO ANSWER MY EMAIL. DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY DeLONGHI COFFEE MAKER I purchased the first Combo Machine on Black Friday 2010. That one lasted about 11 months and although I was just under warranty had to fight with DeLonghi to get a replacement. The finally did after I had to pay to ship it back to NJ. That replacement lasted about the same amount of time with the same issue occuring - water leaking out of bottom and then the coffee side of the maching just stopped working completely. Again, after fighting for well over a month with DeLonghi, they sent me the third one, this time the updated model. Last week after "the 11 month window" the coffee side of the machine stopped working - AGAIN!!! After the second time, I requested a refund which DeLonghi refused to give me. And after the cost of shipping two machines back, I should have just purchased the Cuisiart product that I did several days ago which has an excellent rating along with the company's reputation and, it makes better coffee in a shorter amount of time. I honestly don't know how DeLonghi continues to sell this machine after reading the 90% failure ratings. You would think an European company would have the expertise to make a good coffee maker that lasts longer than a year especially at the cost of $150. Well, if they can't then, at least their "Customer Care" policy should make it worth the disappointment however, it fails just as miserably as the coffee maker. Good Luck! November 6, 2012
