Be sure to brew this on the Long Shot setting!
I have tried just about all of the CBTL capsules and powders... The machine I have is the Contata; I found the Americano a little cheaply made with its plastic handle. The Contata and Kaldi have metal parts, and the Contata was less expensive than the Americano. With that said...
It's clear those who are complaining about the "weakness" of the Chai has no doubt brewed it on the regular coffee "brew" setting, which is not the CBTL recommended setting for this tea. This tea is best on the Long Shot setting, although it can also be brewed on the espresso shot setting. The "capsule police" will not bang on your door if you like to brew on a different setting. The tea is not too sweet, and has a wonderful, spicy aroma and taste!
I love chocolate chai lattes, and since Oregon Chai had discontinued it, I have been looking for a replacement. This is fabulous in a latte with the Dutch Chocolate powder. Absolutely addicting! It is also good with the french Vanilla powder, but vanilla anything is not my favorite. I hope B3 will add the White Chocolate powder to their offerings for this maker.
Be sure to pay attention as to what setting these (and the other) capsules are to be brewed on.... this is not the average "Kcup" watered down coffees and teas. As a former manager & barista of an espresso shop, I have tried and sold all sorts of coffee and espresso roasts, blends, as well as high end drinking chocolates and fine teas, and offered my customers only the best. I have been impressed with the CBTL offerings. But as with everything, one needs to know the proper setting to get the best results.
Do not hesitate to try this Chai... just be sure to brew it at least on the Long Shot setting.

Not that great
I absolutely love my CBTL machine and am impressed with their coffees and expresso. I love Chai tea and was excited to find out that they made one. I just made my first cup and was not impressed. I found it to be too weak, it didn't carry that "wake me up" aroma, and it lacked that spicey flavor Chai is supposed to have. I normally use the Tazo Chai concentrate, so I added a little of that to it to make it more flavorful. So, for my next cup (I bought a whole box, so I might as well experiment) I might try what someone else recommended on another review. First, brew the tea on the smallest cup setting. Then, keeping the same capsule in, select the next cup size up and brew again. They suggested it makes it taste stronger. I will post an update.

disappointed
What a bummer. I love chai tea and chai tea lattes. This chai tea capsule doesn't even taste like chai at all to me... the spicy taste is so weak, it tastes more like a plain english breakfast tea that was brewed weak. Made as a chai latte using only milk tasted weak and watery. I suppose it's decent if you add in the entire packet of the vanilla powder - but, that's 4 grams of fat and a lot of sugar that im not interested in. If you don't mind the fat and sugar content then you will probably like it made this way. Everything tastes better with fat and sugar in it. I hope they reformulate their chai tea and make it flavorful and spiced up the way it's supposed to be. This is the only product by cbtl that i am disappointed in - the espressos taste great!

Weak
Tea is weak and is not up to par for what a Chai tee should be.
