Love it...but high altitude issue
Hubby and I drink a lot of herbal , regular, and Chinese tea and making per cup was tiresome! My hubby surprised me with this for Christmas and I adore it! The only problem I have is that when you set it for Black (Boil) the beeper will never go off for you to set it to steep. It works fine on all other settings...so I returned it, thinking it was faulty, but it's replacement did the same thing when I realized, DUH! We live at 7000 ft....so it takes too long for the water to reach 212F...no big deal...we just brew Black tea at the Herbal setting and it taste just fine. I haven't had any other issues the other posters have had....to clean it I use warm water with a little white vinegar and then rinse it well and let it air dry. Absolutely LOVE this product!

A Sorry Gift
The jug looks great but it is diffcult to keep clean.
The jug leaks around the black edging . 30 minutes till 2nd cup is not long enough. Tea leaves are difficult to remove. I leave tea leave stand until it is dry then shake out the leaves.
It is the worst gift I have been given.

Makes brewing the perfect pot of tea very easy. Love it.

not reliable tea brewer
I had this item for about 3 months and it does great a job with allowing you to have options on the degree of boiling temperature but the tea strainer broke the very first time I tried to use it.
