Blender features Hemisphere Control with a permanent hemisphere bowl and a blade system that draws down what's on top. The six wide-sweeping blades made of surgical grade stainless steel hug the bottom of the jug to eliminate dead zones. Very Impressive
Because I didn't want to pay for a high ended blender, I did some research on the internet and finally ran across a reveiw that was written in 2013 and it essentially said that they recommended a couple of high priced blenders that have had really good reviews, BUT if you didn't want to go with the pricey models they recommended the Breville Hemisphere Control Blender ... that clenched it for me. I haven't used it a whole lot at this point, but when I have, I'm very impressed with the way it works!

Not worth the price
After my purchase, I was excited to use it. I like the glass canister over plastic. I had my doubts on the rubber gear that turns the blade. Willing to give it a try. Performance was fantastic! Then leaks began at the base of the glass canister. The motor began to smoke. Didn't use for one month before trying again. Frozen fruit, water was in the glass canister. It began to smoke again. It's now in trash bin. Lasted about four months. Yes very much over priced. I was expected to have a least a years use. So back to plastic, possibly ...Ninja.

expesive, but worth the price
I have used a number of different blenders over the years. This Breville company seems to have an edge on the other companies (in my opinion). It does a fantastic job and it is not an "eye sore" if left out for every day use.
