Towel Warmer
Keep your bathroom towels fresh and toasty warm all day and night with the Warmrails 5-bar dual-purpose heated towel rack. It can be used as a portable freestanding unit (measures 25 1/2" L x 12 1/2" W x 32 1/2" H) or wall mounted (measures 25 1/4" L x 3 1/2" W x 27 1/4" H, mounting hardware is included.) It reaches optimum temperature within 15 to 20 minutes but towels should be left on the rack for at least 2 to 3 hours for the heat to build up in the fibers. Leave your towels on the rack overnight before initial use and layer the towels (do not weave throughout the bars). The rack has a 7-foot power cord, an illuminated on/off switch and an 80-watt power rating. Designed to run continuously 24 hours-a-day/7 days-a-week it's reliable and energy efficient, using less power than an average light bulb. Fifty pound weight capacity. One-year warranty. Imported.

Burned My Towels
We were very excited to get this unit - shipped immediately and was easy to put together. The information says you can leave it on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; however, it burned my towels, which was surprising since we didn't think the towels were all that hot.

Towel warmer
Love this....2nd one in 4 years and buying more for gifts. Warm towels in winter, fast dried towels in summer so no musty smell.

Dangerous
I was the proud owner of a warm towel rack I purchased back in 2003, The unit lasted until the beginning of this year 2012 when is stopped working when the wires burned inside after so many years of constant use. During those years I never had a problem with the unit which still look like brand new out of the box (minus the electric system). I tried at no avail to find the wiring to have it fixed.
The same unit now costs four times more which I cannot afford.
Last week Bed Bath and Beyond advertised a warmrails towel rack for 69.99. I bought the unit and even though I did not like the designed as much as I like the one I already owned I was happy to be able to dry my towels and get my rope warm during these cold days.
I installed the unit and left my towels to dry after taking a shower last night. To my surprise when I walked up this morning my towels were burned wherever there were in touch with the unit. This is a fire hazard, very dangerous if I would have left the house without noticing the problem.
Needless to say that I am returning the unit to Bed Bath and Beyond but still I am left with two burned towels. And a great disappointment for not been able to enjoy the comfort of my warm towels as I did for so many years with the old one.
