Bad blender
This has a strong motor and the gear has held out so far, but -- why put square container around circular action? "Round peg in a square hole ... " Ring any bells?

Bad blade assembly and also leaks
Blade assembly is removed via a cheap plastic top and is starting to wear down. Blender is also now leaking through the entire machine.

Worthless
Please do not waste $ or time on this blender. It cannot blend smoothie items (avocado, greens, banana, apple, juice) in under 8 minutes and to do so requires the user to stir, swirl and move the items. After "assisting" a few times, it will eventually make the concoction. And the "crush" ice part of the equation...forget it. However, it does allow you to make a mess with the amount of assistance it requires. Spend the extra $80 and get the hemisphere it is fabulous.
