The multipurpose blade, adjustable slicing disc and reversible shredding disc are all stainless steel and provide loads of versatility. One-year warranty. Model # KFP0711CU. Helpful Operational Tip - This machine is equipped with a safety feature that if not engaged properly will prevent the unit from functioning. Make sure the safety interlock is locked by positioning the lid on the bowl with the food chute (feed tube) in the front of the bowl, the handle of the bowl should be on the right hand side, and the lid twisted completely to lock into the handle.

No more KitchenAid
KitchenAid used to mean quality made but this is the second product I have had trouble with in the last year. No more KA for me. The processor worked two times and it was dead after three weeks. Took it back and bought another brand.

Terrible product design
As others have noted, there is a major design flaw. The bowl is secured at the bottom by a plastic ring that has three notches and is located at the bottom of the shaft that holds the knife blade. After the bowl was properly locked into place, I used the processor, but shortly thereafterafter, one of the three notches on the plastic ring broke off so now the bowl cannot be held securely in place. I purchased this processor less than 2 years ago, and since then have used it only a very few times. After this happened to my processor, I looked at some of the larger and newer KitchenAid processors, and found that they eliminated this serious design flaw. Since my processor was out of warranty, and since the estimate was that it would cost $32 for shipping + parts + labor, I figured that for that cost I could buy a new processor. And as another customer noted, I will be sure NOT to buy a KitchenAid.

Disappointed
I have used this product about 15 times. The last time I used it the plastic piece that goes up the center broke into tiny pieces. I called the Kitchen Aid number in my manual and they told me the cost to send it back and have it "looked at". I might as well buy a new one. Which I will. Although it won't be a Kitchen Aid . . for sure!

Great Product
Most of these people are complaining about flaws in the product like, "a dud" or "a lemon." I also had issues with the product at first, but then I realized that there is a specific way to put the processor together as a safety feature. Once I figured that out, I haven't had any issues. Love the food processor. I use it to make bread crumbs, pie crusts, chop veggies, and make meatballs. Great product.
