One simple rule
Had I not read an online review, I would have taken this product back; it would not start. However, unlike my old processor, the cover has to be placed so "feed" tube is in front and not lined up with the handle. I am glad I checked the online reviews and found the answer. Now it is working, the processor performs very well

Great processor!!!
It's funny to me that most of the negative reviews of this processor include details about how the user could not figure out how to get the processor to turn on. Once you get the pieces put together correctly (as described in the user manual), it works perfectly. It is designed with smart, safety mechanisms so that it will not turn on unless put together correctly. An awesome feature if you have children in the house! Processor will not operate unless bowl is attached to base and lid is attached to bowl.
The base is nice and heavy, and the simple buttons are covered with thick rubber, making cleanup very easy.
I haven't had any problem with durability of the handle, and I have been using the processor about twice a week for about 7 months. Great purchase!

Just awful!
I would give this 0 stars if I could. I received this food processor as a gift a few years ago. It lasted about 2 years before the handle broke, rendering it useless. Thanks to B,B&B's outstanding customer service, I was able to exchange it for another one. I mistakenly chose to go with a 2nd Kitchen Aid model. This time I only got 1 year out if it before the same plastic piece broke on the handle. Add Kitchen Aid to the "not made like it used to be" category. I returned the 2nd unit and chose Cuisinart instead. DON'T BOTHER with a Kitchen Aid food processor,

BEWARE!!
One would think that modern electronics should basically be plug in and you are in business. However with this little device my first one did not work so I took it back to BBB for a second unit. And after reading the book twice it still did not work. Two hours later after reading copious reviews I found one review and it worked! You MUST put the "food pusher" part directly in front, closest to the operator, for it to work. The handle will be at "3" o'clock and the pusher will be at "6" o'clock. Terrible of the company to not put this is book. Hope this save some of you a major headache. Good luck!
