Can't be assembled
The bench arrived in pretty good condition. There were a few weird silver paint specks and some small areas missing the staining, but I decided I could touch up these areas with a wood marker. When we went to assemble the bench we found out the washers were the wrong size. We had a new package of hardware sent out, but the washers still wouldn't fit. Went to the hardware store to buy washers and couldn't find any that were the right dimension for both the hole and the bolt. Ridiculous. We have returned the bench. Don't waste your time.
Also, the finish on the iron insert on the back is rubbed bronze on the front and solid black on the back, so if you want this somewhere where both sides will be seen, you might not like that feature.

Good Value
The first thing that should be noted is the bench requires assembly. The instructions are nothing more than a line drawing and a bag of nuts, bolts and washers. Although the instructions state that all the bolts are the same size, they were not. The shorter bolts made it difficult to bolt into the recessed fittings. Patience is required. The upholstered seat is wrapped in plastic, which is good for protection, but the plastic was attached under the the fabric which required the seat to be removed in order to properly remove the plastic wrap. The quality of the bench is good and the color representation of the fabric and wood finish is consistent with the on line photos. The iron insert on the back is black with a bronze rubbed thru finish that may not be apparent in the photos. Overall it was a good purchase that works great for the area we have it located.
