I received this as a shower gift and I refer to it often, has a lot of basic info for the new and inexperienced cook and a lot of great recipes!

Appreciated Gift
I bought this as a wedding gift. When the couple received it they called and said how helpful it was with all the added bonuses...wines, measurements, ideas, cooking for 2 and the many recipes they would be using. I guess it was a good choice!

By far the BEST Wedding present!
I was very excited about this book when I received it at my bridal shower 2 years ago when I started looking through it. It is my favorite Wedding gift, I didn't know a whole lot about cooking so it has been very helpful and fun! It is so easy to navigate though if you need to find out about different wines or meats or even the tools you use, it is all there at the beginning of each section. After two years of marriage I have used it at least twice a week. I can't run out of good things about this book!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE...
I got this cookbook off my registry from a co-worker at my 'work' bridal shower. I can only hope mine lasts as long as hers...smile...we have been married four months and we use it every week for a new recipe and a couple other times each week for sides/beverages/desserts and have not come close to running out of recipe options.
The section about entertaining and dining for two are WONDERFUL!
My only word to the wise it this cookbook doesn't have a physical 'tab' for each section; sorta a bummer; although I must say I used sticky notes to mark the page and pencil in our comments on the recipe (i.e. what we sub-ed and if we liked it). Since I have the book memorized I suppose we don't really need 'tabs' after all.
