Work it
I actually already have three vacuums in my house (this doesn't include shop vacs), and I struggled adding another. But, I was super tired of lugging a full size vac up and down the stairs to vacuum the stairs. It was too hard, so I didn't do it often. I ordered this little guy to help with that, and its perfect. I love that it vacs from the up side and the down side. I don't have to turn it over to do the front of the step (I have carpeted stairs). Well worth the $40. And, maybe someday I'll use it on my car! :)

Awesome
We recently wrote a review on how disappointed we were with the Shark handheld vacuum. We returned the shark to try the Bissell Auto-Mate and we couldn't be happier. It removed nearly all of the hair on the couch and very quickly! We would definitely recommend this product.

Great little vac
I use this almost daily. Great for getting crumbs, dog hair and sand off the couch, vacuuming blinds and curtains, and I even sometimes use it to clean the dust off our A/C filter. We were torn on whether or not to get a corded or cordless hand vac, and heard that sometimes the cordless ones have a shorter lifespan than corded, so we decided on this model and we are very happy with with it.
