Very Useful
This is the perfect pot for my canning needs at home. It gives me the ability to do a moderately large batch of preserves, jam, jelly all at once. Because of the even heating of the pan, I don't have to worry about scorching.

replacement
This purchase was to replace an existing unit that has served my wife and I for about twenty years. The reason for replacement was chipped enamel in the interior of the kettle, which exposed the steel core. When processing tomatoes for canning, the acid in tomatoes can eat at the exposed steel.
This kettle is perfect for processing or blanching large quantities of vegetables prior to canning or freezing. The kettle is high quality, versatile, and more than worth its cost. would recommend it to anybody who is a serious canner.
