Instantly Turns the Kitchen Into an Art Gallery!!!
I've been shopping BBB for almost everything, but this is the first review I'm writing because this product is one of the BEST I've ever purchased.
I'm very picky about home furnishings, but with no exaggeration, these stools are literally artwork to sit on with their beautiful curved wood. While not the most comfortable, they look incredible.
Honestly, comparable items would cost $500 each. And that was confirmed by a recent visitor who was equally shocked by their rich appearance vs. price. Also, just to clarify on the color: it's an almost black/espresso type brown that very classy and should match most rooms needing a sleek, modern design element.
They were purchased in order to prevent further floor scraping from my existing stools. And these work fine for that purpose with their weighted bases. Their design encourages one to just leave them in place and move the seat itself before sitting down.
On the negative side, the chrome base gives off a cheaper appearance than the wooden seating itself. So I've been keeping their white protective film on instead for a much cleaner look. Once that rubs off, I'm thinking about having the chrome powder coated to white.
Also, the wood finish scuffs/rubs off easily, so one needs to make sure their tops don't scrape off against the counter. But fortunately, these are fully adjustable in height, helping to prevent that problem.
Lastly, quality control seems a bit lacking from their factory. So I've ordered five and returned three due to some surface imperfections and color variances in the finish, where they failed to match.
Please keep in mind that I'm more demanding than most. So despite these flaws, this is still a wonderful and unique product, esp. for the price.
