The lamp is perfect for my needs. I love the shape of the lampshade. I wanted a lamp that would take a 100 watt bulb so that I can use it for reading in a chair in the corner of the room. The shade mutes the lighting to a golden glow with an incandescent bulb and forces the lighting downward for reading .It also produces an all purpose lighting for the entire room but is not overwhelmingly glaring. The shape of the lamp fits nicely in a corner behind my chair. The style of the lamp has a very sculptured and clean look to it.. It seems durable in construction. Pricing was a little steep but it perfectly serves the purpose for which it was purchased.
