Good Performance
I like the style and appearance of this kettle, however, the whistle is very faint-didn't hear it the first time I used it. Great for functionality, though.

Not for frequent use
I use my tea kettles VERY often. I am a tea drinker, not a coffee drinker, and will often have several cups per day. I do not empty my tea kettle and wash it after every use, nor do I intend to start. I wash it maybe once a week. I bought this kettle a little over a month ago and was disappointed to see tiny rust spots forming all over the inside of it. I can't believe it has rust already! My other tea kettles lasted about 2-3 years before the rust began forming, but I spent more money on those. So, if you only use your tea kettle sparingly; or are willing to wash and dry it after every use, go ahead and buy this. The price is great! Otherwise, go for a more expensive kettle.

Cute&Decent
This teapot was a great deal pricewise. It holds enough water to make 5 cups of tea and I haven;t had any problems with it. Only complaint is the last cup of water is very hard to get out (doesn't pour smoothly.)
Tonight I came home and saw that my husband had left the kettle on high flame when we left (a total of 5 hours!!!!!) all the water had evaporated but there was no fire, no burning smell or smoke, not even a melted handle !!!! Only the red enamel was slightly blackened. I was very surprised to find that the house was not burned down and the pot didn't even smoke up the kitchen! A good deal for someone who tends to be a bit forgetful. I will be replacing this pot with the same kind... :)

Broke in 2 months!
Was excited about how cute this teapot was, and affordable too. Well, it's not worth the money. After 2 months, the knob on the lid felt a little loose. When I spun it to tighten what I thought was a screw, the knob broke off immediately. It's not a screw, just a little solder that was coming loose. And, coming loose despite the fact that we've only taken the lid off twice to swish some soapy water around inside; we always fill the thing through the spout.
PS B, B, & B has great customer service though. They replaced a damaged item I bought there once before. I'm going to see if they'll do anything to me on this.
