It will shrink
The positives: I love the feel of this duvet cover. It was also a perfect fit for my comforter. The instructions said it could be washed and dried. The negatives: After washing (cold water) and drying on the permanent press cycle (and was taken out of the dryer before it was completely dry), the duvet cover shrank 5 inches. The perfect fit between the duvet cover and my comforter was now no more. After spending $100 for this duvet and having it less than 1 month, I'm going to have to buy another duvet cover or a coverlet. The only way I could recommend this product is if you very seldom had to wash it (I have pets, so that's why I needed something that could be washed and not have to go to the cleaners all the time) and if you could hang it up outside and not use the dryer. I also bought the matching sheets, and have not had any problems with these shrinking. The colors between the sheets and duvet cover is slightly off, which possibly suggest being made by different companies while under the same Wamsutta name.
