Cupcake Plunger by Chicago Metallic
Now you can create versatile cupcakes easily in your own home with the Chicago Metallic Cupcake Plunger. First, the plunger allows you to core the cupcake by centering the tool in the cupcake and pushing down on its ruffled edge. Through twisting and pulling upward, you have removed the core, which can be used later as a topper or as a "cupcake bite". Finally, push the plunger down over your desired solid filling (ice cream or thick buttercream works great!), pull upward to fill the plunger and push down again over your cored cupcake to fill the pastry. The Cupcake Plunger has two levels marked on its body - one for standard cupcake filling and one for jumbo cupcake filling - so you can accurately choose the desired amount of coring and filling every time. Top rack dishwasher safe. Core measures 1 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/2" high. Entire corer with plunger measures 6" H.

works great!
received one for Christmas, finally got to try it out. works great, the only complaint is often the core does not come out but a knife blade pulls it out easily (maybe because I freeze my cupcakes before coring/decorating). Have not used it for re-filling as most of my fillings are pudding or cream and a pastry bag or squeeze bottle does the trick for that quite well.

GREAT product
I loved this little tool. It worked exactly as on the package and made it possible to get uniform holes in cupcakes for fillings. Also the part that I removed was easy to replace and gave height to my finished work.

Worked Great!
I'm really not sure why people are rating it so low, I think it works as advertised. The hole diameter was perfect for the standard size cupcakes I made. I didn't use it to fill so i'm not sure how well that part works which is why I only gave it 4 stars. After filling it most of the way I replaced the middle to get a better cake to icing ratio. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone looking for a fast easy way to make filled cupcakes.

Worked great
This worked like a charm! I used it for the first time tonight to make my apple pie cupcakes. It took a little getting used to but there were no real problems!
