fun accessory
This is a fun addition to my Kitchen Aid. The directions recommend you starting out with the egg noodle recipe. Of course I started out with the most difficult whole wheat recipe. I made rigatoni which came out fabulous. Read & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!! I didn't & had a glob of dough rather stuck in the device. Use walnut sized balls & wait until you can see the spiral before you add the next.
Relatively easy to clean, fun to use. Excited to try the spinach noodle recipe!

Amazing
I had an excellent experience with this accessory. I followed the recipe (sift flour and then measure it) and didn't over-fill the hopper. awesome!
I noticed the spaghetti is easier when nested after extruding.
Thanks BB&B!

Excellent product
I have had this attachment for a year. I love it. If you follow the instructions in the recipe guide, you can't go wrong. I make my pasta with 2 cups of white flour and 1 1/2 cups of white whole wheat flour and it comes out amazing every time. The dough should be very stiff. I pull off walnut sized pieces and knead them in my hands before putting it in the machine. I can make a batch of pasta from mixing to cleanup in less than an hour. To clean the extruder plates, just use a toothpick to get out the big pieces of dough, then use a toothbrush and hot water to clean thoroughly. Like I said, I can go start to finish in less than an hour. I love this attachment.

Really wanted it to work?
Quality constructed hardware. Major issue was ... unless you perfect your dough making skills the equipment "clogs" and requires an overnight dry out for cleaning. Functionality of the various pasta adapters are OK if dough is "dry" but they mess up on "sticky" and you are out of business for the day. Didn't like the cutting tool. Always in the way. Cleans up hard.
