Sienna™ Empressa Steam Press 2 2
My first Steam Press and still looking I bought the Empressa with great exepectations. I like be efficient and get the job done. The Empressa takes a good 20 minutes to heat up to the "Cotton setting" with steam, so allocate some time for it to get hot. The most DISTRESSING thing about this unit is the "top lid does NOT lift up out of the way any more than a 45 degrees angle. As a result, you are putting your hands under this STEAMING HOT press where you can very easily get burned trying to arrange and straightening out your item to be pressed. I am amazed the Empressa's top lid DOES NOT lift 90 degrees up and out of the way. What are the thinking !!!??? Your hands are between the top and bottom lids squished where there is simply not enough room to safely arrange your garmet without getting BURNED. The water container where you pour the water into the unit is not removeable. So once you pour water in you can't take it out to empty it for any reason unless you dismantle the unit or keep pressing the lever to steam it away...... Dont get BURNED...make sure the unit you look for has a lid that lifts up completely and out of the way. I returned my Sienna Empressa I tried ...thank you. November 29, 2011
Fantastic product we used to have one Singer press, but that was almost too small for anything. I bought this pressing machine for my wife and it was delivered to us the second day. My wife loves it! She said this Monster machine really big enough and work real fast. She got everything press now and finished her laundry in half time! Professional results too! Thank you! June 30, 2011
