Induction cook tops are more energy efficient than other cooking methods as they provide instant temperature control, much like a gas range. Unlike traditional cooktops, however, induction units will not heat the entire kitchen and cool down instantly. With 1600 watts of power and an adjustable temperature from 150° - 450° F, this cooktop works by electromagnetic heat transfer, heating only the area in contact with your induction cookware. A 150 minute timer adjusts up in increments of 5 minutes and down in 1 minute increments. It has an automatic shut off and senses when cookware has been removed. An LED display has a multi-level heat setting and timer function. It cleans easily with a high temperature ceramic-glass cooking surface. Small and portable, this induction unit is great for travel in an RV, as a warmer on a buffet, or as a bonus burner in your kitchen. Measures 2.5" H x 15" L x 11.75" W.
