Looks good but hard to put together
Many of the reviews are correct - very hard to put together. You need at least two people so one can hold it together. Issues I ran into
1. dowel rods went all the way into the holes so were not useful
2. screw anchors came out very easy
3. top does not close all the way
4. Somewhat crooked
5. Directions never say to put in the inside shelf which can't hold much weight the way it is designed.
All that says but it does look okay when finally got it together. I am almost 200lb (max weight) and I sat on it and it sounded like it might break. I guess I will have to go on a diet.
I think I should have found a different brand.

Garbage.
There are 12 potential choking hazards and due to wood being warped, tiny hands can be crushed or injured. Reported to CPSC.

Other reviews were misleading
I was worried about this bench based on other reviews but decided to try it as the dimensions were perfect for where I wanted to put the bench. I was delighted when it arrived. All the wood was beautiful - no scratches or mars - and very pretty. All the correct hardware was included. I assembled it in about 30 minutes. It was square and true and strong. Nothing was warped and it is very sturdy. My husband (200 lbs) can sit on it to change out of boots. No problem. It looks beautiful.

Very poor quality
I created an account just to review this bench... I bought it in-store, and the quality of it is beyond terrible. For the price I didn't expect a masterpiece, but the fit, finish and overall quality of this bench are horrible. Save yourself the money and hassle and don't buy this one. The pre-drilled holes are misaligned, the insert panels are cheap particle board, and the threaded anchors for the bolts pull out from the wood with ease. The lid also scrapes along the arm rests. I expect this thing to fall apart if I look at it the wrong way.
