Cuisinart DS Induction Cookware 12 Piece
I have a ceramic/glass cooktop and was in need of a new cookware. I also decided to buy a portable induction cooktop (Berghoff) to save money in the summer, so I decided to buy induction cookware. After looking at what was available, I decided on the Cuisinart DS Induction Cookware 12 piece set. I also bought a Cuisinart stainless steel set to do an A/B comparison. I tested one piece (3 qt) pan from both sets and found that both on my ceramic/glass cooktop, as well as my portable induction cooktop they both performed equally well. They heated (I timed how long to bring a quart of water to a boil) and it was almost a tie (the stainless might have been 30 seconds faster), but so close it didn't matter in my opinion. Having decided that they performed equally, I decided to keep the non-stick as opposed to the stainless. Just my preference.
I was somewhat concerned after reading some of the negative reviews, but I couldn't be happier and I have owned several Calphalon cookware sets and will not buy them again because of what I felt was uneven heating and cleaning issues even using Barkeepers friend.
I would recommend this set, cooks evenly, cleans nicely and is a good weight - not too heavy. Check it out. I 'm glad I did.

Great cookware and great results
I have now owned this set for two months. Both my husband and I are more than pleased with it. We love it. It cleans easily -- sometimes a paper towel is more than enough and sometimes the spray handle on my sink is all that is required. It is truly non-stick.
As for the online complaints about the product not cooking well on the induction cooktop. I can verify that on my stove this is simply not the case. We have made vegetables, fish, chicken, soup, eggs, turkey bacon, casseroles, rice, couscous, quinoa, pancakes, french toast and more. Not one problem. The cookware heats just fine on medium. On occasion (rarely) I do need a higher setting but must dial it back to medium if I want the recipe to be successful.
I will say that while it is possible to cook without oil, butter or margarine, I find the food made that way lacking in taste. However, if you want to do this, it does work and the food does not stick to the pans.
Bottom line: I would buy this cookware again and I recommend it highly. AND previously, I owned the more expensive All Clad and I prefer the Cuisinart DS Induction a zillion times over.

Does not work well on induction stove
I bought the 12" skillet. Excited to finally find something made for induction stoves, we tried grilled cheese sandwiches. I put it on med high setting and waited and waited. I put on high expecting to have to turn it down after a minute. Still was barely cooking. I kept it on high the whole time - about 15 minutes to get it to brown, it still was not hot all the way through. My induction stove did not make the same sound I normally hear on high. It's like it didn't make good contact. I put my regular skillet on to make sure stove was ok, it was - I am taking it back today.

Size Matters!
I purchased the 2 Quart Saucepan DSI19-18P separately from BB&B last week. When it seemed less effective than other pots I own, I tested its effectiveness against others on both the smallest induction burner on my Electrolux cooktop, and the larger one (which is supposed to sense the size of the pot, and adjust accordingly). I did the test over and over again because I could not believe the results. (I used the highest setting "F" on each burner, with each pot [lid on], with one quart of water at 80 degrees Fahrenheit.)
Cuisinart DS Induction 2 Quart - 25 minutes - STILL no full rolling boil on larger burner, BUT ONLY 3.5 minutes on smaller!
All-Clad 18/10 3 quart - 3.5 minutes on each burner.
T-fal Ultimate Stainless Steel Copper-Bottom Multi-Layer Base 2 Quart - 3 minutes on smaller, 3.5 on larger.
What I suspect is that the pots have their magnetic cores in slightly different places, which causes the adjustible burner to adjust differently. But whatever the reason, size of pot and burner do seem to matter!?!
