the reason reviewers who purchased this flatware several years ago are happy with it is that the flatware was 18/10 then (included nickle that prevents rust and staining). Now the flatware is 18/0 - probably to cut costs of making it. Beware when buying SS flatware to look for pieces that have both chrominum (18) and nickle (10 is best but at least 8). if you get 18/0 you will have problems -- eventually

Nice design, but...
I loved everything about this set while it was still in the store: the design, the finish, the weight. Because of that affinity, I purposely disregarded the online warnings, hoping for a different experience.
Fast forward 4 months of ownership... and yes, then came the tarnish/rust, so back to BB&B they went. When in doubt, buy the more expensive flatware.

Love!
We have had two sets of this flatware for over 5 years now that we had received for our wedding. The silverware has held up great and doesn't have a single rust spot. I find that so weird that some people are having that problem. They have been used in several different dishwashers as well as periods of being washed by hand, and no rust stains. Also, they have held up wonderfully with the abuse of our now 4 year old :).
