Mikasa Platinum Link Dinnerware
This ultra modern bone china is marked by two distinct patterns around the rims of individual pieces: platinum bands and a platinum, interlocked circle pattern. Hand wash only.

Modern & Sophisticated I actually have the 5-piece setting but I wanted to review this pattern so here I am! It is difficult to express just how much I adore this pattern, but I am going to try. I love it so much that it has become the inspiration for how I will decorate the dining room in my next house. I plan on painting the walls the same shade of silvery gray found between the double bands of platinum on the china. Not that you can SEE that detail, thanks to the horrible product shot. It does nothing to show how GORGEOUS this china really is! I wish I could load a customer pic like I did in my review on Macy's and Amazon's websites. Then you could see how beautiful it really is. The pattern is modern and very classy. I paired it with Reed & Barton's "Silver Echo" flatware. Personally, I think it looks amazing! I have received many compliments, so others appear to agree. Though I can't imagine EVER tiring of this look, I didn't want to risk it, so I chose not to get the serving pieces from this line. Instead, I paired it with the serving pieces from Kate Spade's Library Lane Platinum collection which is very attractive but simple and compliments the Mikasa place-setting well. I felt it was the safer way to go because if I ever DO get bored with this pattern or my taste becomes less modern, I can just buy new salad plates and cups to get a whole new look! October 10, 2010
