Junk Junk Junk
Worst thermometer on the market. CONSTANTLY loses signal when inside the house. I even go as far to ensure that I sit by a window, 25 ft away from my smoker with a clear, unobstructed view and it still loses signal. I find myself running to the smoker, turning off the probe to reset, turn the probe on and hold the remote reader 2 inches from the probe and occasionally it will work. This is more of a hassle than a help.Shop for a different brand thermometer.

Okay, for a while.
From the beginning I had trouble pairing the transmitter and receiver. You have to keep switching off and back on first one then the other. Once you get them paired, they report temperature accurately, but I would lose signal frequently when I went inside with the receiver. Then you have to go through the process of pairing them up again. Worked okay for a few years and then just stopped working. It wasn't dropped or anything and the lead wasn't frayed at all. Just stopped working. The price has come down since I bought mine, so it might be worth it for a few years of use, but if I buy another remote, it will have separate leads for the meat and grill temp.

Great thermometer
i have had this thermometer for a couple years and love it. It is very accurate and the numbers are easy to read. I bought it for grilling but have used it more in the kitchen. I like that both units have the temperature on it and I can set it for exactly how well I want my meat cooked. I am buying one for my son-in-law for Father's Day.

very inaccurate
The thermometer seems to read the oven temperature, not the meat temperature. I stuck the probe into the meat, being extra careful not to touch the bottom of the pan. After closing the door of the oven, the temperature immediately began rising steadily and hit my desired temperature just a few minutes later. We tried again in a different part of the meat and had the same results.
My instant read thermometer read 110 while this measured 170.
