Just say no
Yep... Big crack right along the base of the handle. I don't really know what it takes to make a glass pitcher but I'm certain Michelangelo doesn't either. This was an impulse buy at the store, didn't read any reviews first so if you're reading this now, good for you! and please look elsewhere for a glass pitcher, this one has a fatal design flaw and should be pulled from the shelves!

Decent
3 years later I still have it. No cracks, no breaks. My only complaint is that it is supposed to a 'no-spill' pitcher, and it looks like it wouldn't spill, but it does very easily lol.

Disappointed
I registered for this pitcher, and when I got home, reviewing the registry I read reviews...a lot of reviews described the glass cracking by the handle. I decided to stick with the pitcher because it is beautiful, and I figured maybe it was just a fluke. I used this pitcher once last week to serve water at a party. I hand washed the pitcher, it was still fine. It dried fine, and everything. I pulled it out of the cupboard today to put some water in it, and the glass is cracked, up top, by the handle. It appears the crack is actually in the glass because you can't feel it. I know it's beautiful but I think the company needs to work on this since it's the same location of a lot of other reviews. Advice: get something different!

buyer beware
Bought the pitcher took it home and the glass cracked by the top of the handle. Returned it for a new one and in the middle of making tea, what do you know it cracked in the same spot again. This time I wrote the company to complain. They have a serious defect and safety issue on their hands and should recall this product!!
