Great idea, poor execution
I thought this would be a fun way to serve dessert but ended up embarrassed when the chocolate started smoking in the dishes. It turned into a stinky mess that was almost impossible to clean up afterwards. I took them back to the store and explained what happened. BB&B gladly accepted the return and refunded me the full amount.
I recommend redesigning them as a mini double boiler. There needs to be a little dish to hold water so the flame doesn't directly touch the same layer that's holding the chocolate. I'd give a new design a try because I absolutely love the idea of the individual servings.
Bottom line: The fondue pots don't work well but BB&B customer service rocks!
