doesn't work
This was the worst gift I ever gave my husband. It worked, although not well, for about 2 months. You had to manually transmit the forecast from your computer. Finally the software wouldn't even download the forecast. I unistalled and reinstalled and it still won't download a forecast. It's only good as a nightlight and that just reminds you of what a waste of money it was... don't buy this.

It doesn't work well
The weather station is not fully compatitible with Windows 7. It must be manually updated and the USB connection re-initialized. Planning to take it back.

Bad Product
If you are considering this product, please be aware of these faults. The system stops transmitting weather information and you have to manually retransmit. Also, I found the weather information does not correlate with other local forecasts causing me to question its accuracy. Presently, it is more trouble than it is worth.
