Finally, I buy a real processor
I have been using a 28 yr. old Black and Decker processor and, while I applaud the fact that it is still working, it is a toy compared to this Cuisinart. My 5 star review is well deserved, considering the price. This thing is heavier, more powerful, and smoother than I had anticipated. My thought, when I first ran it an hour ago, was, "this must be what a real food processor is like." I couldn't ask for more, and I don't see the cleaning of the seal as a problem, as has been described in other reviews. I really hesitated before buying because of that, but I'm glad I went ahead and bought it. I waited for a 20% off coupon and saved $50. At $200, it is a bargain. I have a hard time understanding how anyone can manufacture, market and sell something like this for so little. If you demonstrated it to me and told me it costs $500, I would have believed you.

Great processor!
I bought this as a close out deal at another store. I have had a Cuisinart 14 Cup since the 1980's and it's still working. I bought this because I was afraid mine would eventually quit on me due to heavy cookie batter loads straining the 475 watt motor. This food processor does all that's needed from one with easy clean up and plenty of power (1000 watts). It is much more powerful than my old one. The ability to adjust the slicer without having mulitple blades like the old one did is great since kitchen space is critical. I also like the fact the top snaps on and off easily. I tried a Kitchen Aid that costs more and as another person put it, you have to struggle to get the top off. It was so hard to take off I thought it was going to break it. The seal on the Kitchen Aid processor is too tight and you have to fight it to remove the top. This Cuisinart is a piece of cake to open and close and the seal works well. The bowl on this 12 cup is as large as the old 14 cup processor I have so there was no compromise in size.

Great but ...
LOVE my blender ... But ... There is a design flaw in the lid. Food gets trapped around the rubber seal, molds and there is no way to remove it. Paid shipping to return the lid under warranty and it was replaced but it happened again. Customer service basically shrugged their shoulders. The best I can do is soak the lid in a bleach mixture. This shouldn't happen and is a design flaw!

Finally a Great Processor!!
I just got married and could not decide on a processor to register for so I went on the hunt. I have analyzed every processor bb&b carries and immediately ruled out KA bc of poor quality and Berville because of cost. This processor may not be as attractive as some but it has a ton of power, very versatile blades and discs, great seals, and a storage case! The storage case is big but it holds the blades and the discs. The seals work great to keep everything in while processing but liquids or powdery substances can drop out of the seals when you take off the lid. Everything cleaned up great in the dishwasher and I can't wait to make more gourmet meals in my new processor!
