Poor excuse for a griddle
Another piece of junk made in China. Cooks unevenly and the non stick surface is a joke. Cooks hot at the end where the control plugs in and it will not brown a pancake evenly. I have used this thing twice and have to use a Scotch Brite pad, (coarse side) to clean the surface and it still has food/oil stuck on it. How difficult should it be to clean a griddle that just cooked 8 pancakes? Not only is this a waste of my time to return this item to Bed Bath and Beyond, which I'm not blaming them, they are great, but it is also a waste of their employees time accepting all of these defective products made in China. It's a loose, loose, loose for me, for you and for our country. Let's bring it back home.

ok for the price
It definitely has cheap plastic parts. When I got it a screw was missing and won't screw in. However, it works just fine. For the price, I think it is fine.

Extreme uneven heating
This griddle has the most uneven heating I've ever seen. Set at the proper temperature, the pancakes on the outside will cook while the one in the center will still be extremely pale. As if that weren't bad enough, there were such extreme temperature fluctuations that each INDIVIDUAL pancake had areas that were more cooked than others, leaving me with ugly, half-overdone pancakes. I'm returning it for sure.

Love it, cooks evenly and easy to clean.
The drawer is a little to flimsy for me but works just fine.
