Breadmakers:

West Bend® 41300 Hi Rise™ Bread Maker

The Hi Rise™ bread maker is easy enough for beginners, but customizable for expert bakers as well. It boasts a 'homemade' setting that allows you to set your preferences for kneading, rising, baking, and keeping warm. There is also a tri-level crust control feature and 11 digital settings that let you choose between: basic, quick, French, sweet, dough, and customizable settings. The traditionally shaped, horizontal bread pan accommodates 4 different loaf sizes; 1 LB, 1 1/2 LB, 2 LB, and 2 1/2 lb. The dual knead blades provide thorough dough kneading for a lighter taste and higher rise! Plus, there is a delayed start cycle that is programmable for up to 12 hours, so you can set it in the morning and come home to freshly baked bread. The instruction manual includes recipes for garlic bread, wheat bread, bagel dough, and even Low Carb and Gluten-free! Includes 2 knead blades, non-stick bread pan, measuring cup and spoon, and knead blade removal tool. Model # 41300.

What a disappointment! I had high hopes that this would solve all my bread making problems, but it only added to them. The bread sticks in the pan. there is a space below the paddles, and the mixture cooks under them. The paddles stick to the spindles, so when the bread finally comes out, you are left with 2 great tears and holes underneath. The top 1/2 inch of the loaf does not seem to have been kneaded evenly, so as you slice the bread, this part of the slice, with the top crust, crumbles off. My old Oster made better bread, but it needed a new pan, and a replacement paddle became hard to find, so I decided to try a new one. Don't buy this. I like the shape of the loaf. April 8, 2013
Great Machine I have been looking for a bread machine and read a lot of reviews. I had seen this one show up on many and thought, why not, had a lot of positive reviews. Well, I am glad I did! Just made my 1st loaf today, a basic white bread and it is delicious! Has a nice color, texture, flavor and it is the perfect loaf shape! Very happy with this machine. April 6, 2013
Its a Flop Was VERY unhappy with this machine. First loaf mad did not raise and it also taste like dough. April 4, 2013
I have had several breadmakers over the years that were less expensive than this one. The less expensive bread makers worked better than this model. The bread sticks to the pan and you can not get it out without literally tearing the loaf apart. The dough cycle is very long. I would not recommend this type to anyone. January 19, 2013
