Purchased this model Jura/Capresso three years ago at another high end chain store, told me it carried a lifetime warranty with the store, which it was exclusive to, (only if we had the receipt.,who holds on to a receipt for three years!). Returned it to Jura for repair, we were told the mother board, electronic keypad goes EVERY COUPLE OF YEARS! @375.00 to repair.PLUS SHIPPING 'N HANDLING - $411.00. Considering the original cost of the machine, it should last a lifetime, with minimal problems! After multiple complaints to the original store of purchase, turns out they dropped the product/brand, due to unreliability. Bed Bath & Beyond carries MANY other brands, that are comparable in quality, DON'T waste your $$$ on this product/ brand. Too pricey to repair and a hassle to deal with. NOT a good product AT ALL

Great Product/ tasts like Starbucks Coffee
My sister has one and it's wonderful ! The first time I seen this coffeemachine was in Germany. " Love at first Taste". I have not found one in the stores in the US . I was happy to see this item online but was unable to locate it in a store near by that sells them. I guess, I have to order it online from bed bath& beyond.

Pros and Cons, it isn't my first super automatic!
I've previously owned Jura and other brand superautomatic machines. The reason I purchased this one: my house was hit by lightning and my last Impressa S7 Avantegard was a casualty.
I loved my last machine, at the time it was the quietest available, had the consistency from cup/cup of temperature, crema, and volume. It also had the feature of "dialing up" my desired single special cup, providing the ability of changing the strength (amount of grounds) and water volume. That was done by opening a door and rotating a knob quickly for each item as the coffee was being made. Yes, you had to be prepared and fast, a slight negative however it allowed for the special cup for my friends.
The Impressa J9 TFT model: wow...
Pros: Sound level, flexibility of modifying each beverage, or not, and storage for useful tools in the top of the system, even better crema for the coffee, easier water tank removal/replacement, nicer coffee bean container, better lighting of front spout area, fantastic visual screen and easier beverage selection.
Quieter by a significant margin, less high pitched sound than my prior systems.
Changing each cup is easier, due to the feature of the TFT screen. As each beverage type is being made, you are presented the opportunity through a push of a button to increase or decrease the strength of the coffee, and then as the steam/water/milk is being brewed, to change the volume.
Programming: I haven't done a lot of "programming" of the system, it's so easy to use I haven't found the need. Using ground coffee is even better this time around too, when you open the lid to put in the ground coffee, the system recognizes it and will immediately shift into that mode. You put in the coffee, then select the beverage and that's all there is to it!
Cons: slightly smaller water tank, different filters than past models, spout height range and dual beverage programming of volume.
The water bin is smaller than my S7A however it is just fine for my normal daily consumption (My wife and I are former Navy, drinking coffee all day). I will say on guys Poker Night, it requires refilling one more time than I did with my S7A.
Different Filter: I couldn't reuse my old filters, but I don't consider that a problem as I personally prefer the new ones. Different special shape on the bottom and it seals a LOT better when seating it than the older filters. I knew they were in there, but I always wondered about the completeness of the seal.
Spout height: I'm a bit disappointed the spout doesn't go as high for crema coffee. I have a few taller coffee cups, which fit under the spout for cappuccinos/lattes however I have to tilt them to get under the "normal" coffee spout. A nit, yes, but still a con in my book.
The last item is a challenge, the setting of the "normal" or standard beverage strength and volume for dual beverages. The key is reading the manual and ensuring you press the button twice, holding it down the second time to shift the machine into programming mode. You then need to ensure you have two beverage cups under the spout so as to know when to press a button to set the volume level you desire. Difficult to explain in a review, easier once you have the machine and also when you follow the manual.
All the above said, I highly recommend this to anyone who would like a wonderful cup of crema coffee to start your day, or a cappuchino/latte and then later in the day enjoy an espresso or three. ;-) Great customer service is a fact for Jura, and the quality of the machine is beyond anyone else, IMHO.
