The Thin Apple Slicer from Progressive® is a quick and safe way to easily core and slice an apple. With the Thin Apple Slicer it's as easy as push, flip and pop. Place apple on countertop, stem side down. Simply push the slicer blades down over the apple, flip the protective cover underneath and pop the apple slices the rest of the way through the blades. Slices fruit into 16 perfect slices while simultaneously removing the core. Perfect slicer and corer for apples or pears. Peel fruit before slicing when slicing fruit for pie. Cover protects fingers from blades while in use and in storage. Crafted of ABS and polypropylene plastic with stainless steel blades. Measures 7 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 5 1/8". Dishwasher safe. A good tool
I had an apple slicer for 30 years that broke and I started looking for ones that would be strong and cut smaller apple pieces. I was glad to find this one. It could be a little bit sharper because it can be difficult to push down. I love the "pop up" that the plastic bottom accomplishes. It makes it very easy to get the slices out. My old one didn't have it.

A+++ Gadget
Bought this item via online. I have eaten an apple a day since it was delivered. Slices the apples so thin, that it makes it easy to dip in peanut butter, almond butter, caramel, etc. I LOVE this item.

Awesome!
Who would have thought the simple piece of plastic at the bottom would make such a huge difference over traditional apple slicers?! I received the green wedge and pop for my bridal shower and loved it so much, I bought this one too! Easily one of the most used items in my kitchen. Buy it!
