Great Mother's Day Gift
I love this EGG Maker! I eat the same thing everyday before heading in to work; 6 egg whites on a Sandwich Thin topped with bacon and this machine has made better use of my limited time in the morning. I once used to cook the eggs and bacon on the stove top but not anymore, I crack the eggs in the omelet dish, click to "on" and walk away! The timer goes off and my eggs are perfect! This product says 3 eggs but I have cooked 5 egg whites w/no problems or overflowing, and they are cooked all the way through. I do not have a problem w/the VERY SLIGHT egg smell at all. I have yet to poach or "hardboil" eggs yet but I am sure they are just as great!
(I also have started baking my bacon in the oven for less work.)

wonderful
purchased to prepare breakfast without a kitchen. started by making boiled eggs, lovely! graduated to making omelets, what a surprise, nice taste and very fluffy! (added cheddar and smoked turkey) i did notice a slight egg cooking smell........after all it's doing what it's supposed to do......it's cooking eggs :-) if you wanted it to smell like roses, you'll be disappointed. haven't poached eggs yet, leaving that for a morning when i don't have to rush. i timed my omelet this morning, 13:09 minutes. just time enough for my shower.. ps if you leave the eggs in the steamer they will change color slightly, doesn't change the taste though. add a steaming cup of coffee and a scone and you'll be very happy :-)

Not for the lazy
I was tired of waiting for the water to boil in a pot before I could set the timer for eggs. You boil the eggs, dump the water and there's no clean up for the pot. Bought this item thinking it would give me four minutes more time to get into other mischief. You don't have to stand there waiting because it has a thermostat and timer. That's what it's all about, aint it? No, it aint. Unless you like the smell of old eggs in your face you have to clean it each and every time, negating all the other handy tricks it does. I gave it away to someone sans nose.

Love it
Have had this for a few months and I really love it. The only downside is the smell when cooking. You pour water on a plate that burns off in the cooking process, and it kind of smells. It doesn't affect the taste, so it lasts a few minutes while cooking. Otherwise, I just dab a towel to get a little extra water off the top of the cooked poached eggs before I slide them out, and they are perfect! Getting both sets of parents one for Christmas!
