Great Soda Maker, Best SodaStream?
The SodaStream Source Metal Edition is a great soda maker. It's easier to use than other soda makers (including other SodaStreams) because you can just insert the bottle and carbonate, no turning the bottle to thread it in to the machine is necessary. It also looks and works great.
To be fair I wasn't impressed with the stand (the metal supports that stick out of the front and back of the machine) as they seemed to be bent up a little. Once I manually bent them down they work fine but that shouldn't be necessary. The plastic cover on the back of the machine that covers the CO2 tank isn't the most secure and can be heard rattling when the machine is moved. It's less of an issue now that the stands have been bent down (it doesn't wobble anymore) but it doesn't inspire feelings of quality.
I also don't like that all SodaStream drink mixes use artificial sweeteners. I assume this is for packaging as adding real sugar or HFCS to the mix would greatly increase the bottle size or greatly reduce the number of drinks you can make from one bottle, but you can taste it.
Summary: In day-to-day use it works great. Not the best build quality/fit-and-finish.

I love my sodastream!!!! I purchased the original sodastream and now I have upgraded. I am constantly recommending sodastream.
