Riedel O 21 1/8-Ounce Cabernet/Merlot (Set of 2)
An innovative new design in wine vessels from Maximillian Riedel, an 11th generation member of the famed Riedel crystal wine glass making family. Strikingly different because of the absence of a stem, these wine glasses look more like elegant tumblers. They are shaped to look as good as they feel in your hand, yet maintain all of the functionality of design you would expect from traditional Riedel stemware. These wine glasses are exceptional for casual, everyday use. Dishwasher safe.

Favorite wine glass
I've been using the Riedel stemless wineglasses for many years now and bought these as a gift for a family member who admired them. While a stemmed glass is lovely, I like the ease and practicality of using a stemless glass for everyday (every evening?) wine consumption. The edge of the Riedel glass is fine, the bowl the proper size and shape for the specified wine and I can have the same wine-drinking experience, without having to worry about knocking over and breaking a high-priced stemmed glass. These may not be quite as fine as my crystal wine glasses, but for daily use, these work very well.

Riedel - All About O Maximilian Riedel: Riedel "O". A glass line made by Riedel, introduced in 2004 without a stem. A glass you can stack. Two glasses at the same height as one glass. A glass that can fit into the dishwasher. Dishwasher proof, not a problem. A glass that acts like a Weeble Wobble. If you have kids at home, a glass that bounces back, not to lose a sip of wine. Is it the glass for a dinner party? Yes, it is. But if you want to have a nicely decorated dinner party, then "O" is not there to replace your stemmed glass. "O" truly is the casual way of drinking wine. |
