The best invention EVER
This is the BEST invention ever made. I use this machine to make applesauce, jelly, oatmeal, polenta, risotto...and of course rice. You need to buy the book: The Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook by Beth Hensperger & Julie Kaufmann. It will give you EXACT proportions and directions. For example, I put in the steel cut oats, 1 banana, 1 chopped apple, raisins, almond milk, vanilla and cook. When it's done I add cinnamon and chopped walnuts and you have the best oatmeal on the planet. After it cools, I put 1/2 cup of oatmeal in a plastic ziplock, lay them flat, and freeze them. In the morning I take one out of the freezer, set the plastic ziplock under hot water for 5 min, microwave, and voila! My only regret is not buying the bigger one!!!!
