Exactly what I was looking fo
I received some nice new knives at Christmas and wanted a good way to store them. I saw this online, and went directly to my store where they had it in stock. My husband put it up in about a minute with no problems what so ever. It is holding 6 knives comfortably, and it looks fantastic. The magnet is VERY STRONG. I'm not sure why anyone would say that it is weak. It will hold regular kitchen knives with no problems. I would definitely buy this again!

knife holder
knife holder is just fine; problem is that someone removed the mounting screws fro the package. this is an irritation, that was not expected. since this was the last item on display, taking it back defeats the purpose, we found some screws in our garage and "made due." Perhaps store personnel should be more diligent when replacing merchandise on shelves.

Great knife magnet
Sorry others got weak magnets. The one I bought was very strong and hold up even my heaviest knives without any slipping whatsoever. The finish on an inch of one strip was a little rough. Good looking item.

Not Very Strong
I purchased this to hold my carving knife. It will only hold it securely if I find just the right position! If I don't find the right position, it starts to turn or just slips down. It hasn't dropped my knife yet, but I only put it up a week ago. Probably better to buy one that at least has a brand name on it. Lesson learned
